Pursuant to Ohio Revised Code 2716.07C, Franklin County Common Pleas court strictly enforces the statute that requires that an employer submit an INTERIM ANSWER ALONG WITH any payment that is being submitted to the court. We understand that this can be burdensome for some employers as the interim report is sometimes completed by one Department and the payment is handled by another Department. See Ohio Revised Code: https://codes.ohio.gov/ohio-revised-code/section-2716.07

If Franklin County receives a check without the INTERIM ANSWER they will send the check back to the employer. To remedy this issue, we have allowed employers to send the answers and the checks directly to our office made payable to the Franklin County Clerk of Courts and we will file the answer and the check with the court.

If you wish to go with the option of mailing the answers and checks (which can come separately), you can update the address to mail those to:

 Special Counsel Andy Bowers
